@KeiosKod not surprising tbh.. the higher ups of demons usually are the stronger in their bunch.. and if the Hero and their party killing those higher ups in order to kill the demon lord, no wonder the demons feel regressed while our MC has those experience from battling the much stronger demons and still evolving day by day...

I really like how Demons are portrayed here. They understand that humans feel empathy and they use it against them.

Man, it's so weird to just have demons be you know...Demons. Just actual straight up monsters, not a veiled code for other race we don't like for reasons/havedifferentculture. No just they're actual monsters, intelligent ones but still just monsters.

Refreshing honestly, though if they still actually want to play the now standard card it'd actually have some weight cause we've been shown otherwise. It'd actually mean something.

Something about Lugner casually lying to Graf Granat's face about having a father to get out of that situation was pretty chilling. This setting's demons are terrifying in a different way.

Thankfully, Frieren's a total madwoman. No sob story is going to stop her from slicing demons apart.
