Weird that the author would compare to a hundreth instead of a thousandth. We just saw last chapter that Fieren was alive and well 1000 years ago. If 10 years was in the realm of a hundreth of her lifespan, then it would be in the 100s, which isn't much longer than a human's.

@AnimuVsMango she said "not even", so it's slightly rounded up but not too far off. 10 years is precisely a hundredth of 1000 years, but the journey itself lasted almost twice as long if we include the return trip. As long as Frieren's lifespan lies in thousands and not tens of thousands of years, 1/100 is a better estimate than 1/1000.

If they continue traveling together even after they reach the Demon Kings castle, then their relationship may very well span 95% of Fern's life, while still not even reaching 1/10th of Frieren's. Heck, taking into consideration the 1000 years flashback from the previous chapter, where Frieren looked only slightly younger, I would say her lifespan is no less than 4000-5000 years, so even Fern's whole life wouldn't reach 1/50th.
