@private_meta yes, that part from each chapter beginning always catch my attention. im pretty sure we will see the party became grown up since time actually passes between each chapter when they went from town to town. maybe the ending will be a parallel to first chapter? (the kids will be old adults, and have left a legacy, meanwhile frieren will still be frieren)

@Joco413413 I doubt it, Himmel have been dead for 29 years, and he was too old to be friends with Sein as a kid, he's probably talking about his childhood friend who wanted to be an adventurer.

@IlsaTilsaKilsaMilsa instead of midlife crisis I'd say Frieren was behaving like an insecure/scared child, remember the elf from chapter 24, he was way older than her and looked like a guy in his early 20s, she looks like a girl in her early teens, so she has ways to go before her midlife crisis.
