Is anyone else troubled or concerned at the romanticising of slave-slave owner dynamics in webcomics & manga?

Also the deliberate choice for the slave owner to be white and the slave darker skinned?

This isn't shade to the scanlators (sooo grateful to all of you). This is a questioning over the continued use of this trope & the creation of this worldview.

From the chapter we see the Spinel get introduced, they all look to be of fair toned skin. The Spinel shown in the prologue chapter probably also has fair skin but it could’ve either been tanned. It’s not like all the Spinel have dark skin so it’s probably more of a contrast in character design for that Spinel to have a slightly darker toned skin.

@cococobana Like @naners said, master x slave fantasies have always been a thing. You do know there's hentai of this kind of stuff too, right? There's Shoujo, seinin, josei, and especially shounen that has this kind of trope. It's everywhere.
