This whole "I guess it's time for lethal vigilante justice" thing always rubs me the wrong way with this genre. >_>;
Like their clans seem to have justice systems and whatnot, with considered judgements. We've already established they're capable and interested in handling this particular class of incident to some degree. And he's making the same mistake as his teacher for not brining them in to provide evidence... I mean, really. Some "path of wisdom," yeesh.
I guess some people are really here for the murder, though, based on the post before me ¬_¬;
