Probably the father is abusive alcoholic that was killed by the mother that's finally had enough of him after seeing her child get beaten several times

But she loved him and kill herself after she killed him, the child aka our shota was left alone by his mother because she can't take her child's life

@Hadski By the "maybe I did something wrong", it seems the Yokai women killed them, which is understandable if both were deadbeat parents. Even in this situation, kids tend to cling their happy memories with the parents and stand with them just because of that, or the general family bond.
