The only one I can think of that would spread that rumor would be the teacher’s sister.

It's her old friend from elementary school that did since she saw Yuki pick her up under the tree. Wouldn't surprise me if she took a picture.

(It couldn't be the sister either because she knew Yuki back when he was alive, so I would think she would have other priorities than spread rumours about him)
