This is sad on so many levels. Probably the most wholesome chapter and least illegal (she even meets the actual owner and gets permission in the end), but really sad. I mean just when you say it out loud; “single office lady whose friends are too busy with life becomes addicted to playing with a cat. She gets very desperate and stalks said cat until she finds him, leaves gifts for him, and ignores the advances of his younger male owner to pet him”. Well, I guess to each their own (probably being a bit bias cuz I’m not much of a cat person).
Also (off topic) can someone explain cat cafes to me, cuz I’m lost. Are you actually paying money to pet cats! Cuz that sounds like prostitution (or I guess it would be more like the cat equivalent of stripper places or hostess bars since ALL you can do is pet them and watch them). And do they serve food or drinks? Curious how you would eat or drink in a place with that much fur/hair where you’re supposed to be constantly touching the source of the fur/hair.

@TNT261 i mean even without knowing anything about cat cafes, it has cafe in the name, im sure they have some selection of things to drink and eat. also people pay money to go the zoo, where you usually cant pet most animals, have to walk across the whole zoo on foot, and the treatment of the animals tends to be awful....so dont see why it seems like such a weird thing in comparison

Anyway of course drinks and some foods are served cuz it is a cafe after all. And different places have different rules, so you can pet them but don’t disturb them when they sleep or pressure them into being around you, like constantly bothering a cat that doesn’t want to be petted at the moment.
And of course staff have to clean up so there’s no hair flying around

I mean, bro, you only saw her around your house and she gave ya stuff for the cat without saying a word to you. Props for trying but that was never gonna work going in that fast. Get to know her first at least.
