We beat the cornered cliff dive to fly away escape trope to death in the 80s and 90s. To think I would see it again here.
Also in terms of this comic in of itself I have no fucking clue why a guy our MC knows for like 10 minutes is literally worth throwing his life away for. All he did was shake his hand when he got bullied in the first few chapters. After that he was never seen again until their walk into the trial.
