Starting From Today I'll Work as a City Lord - Ch. 36 - A Magical Bow From Another World!

I kinda half expect medieval societies to know how to use a bow ...

@staberas: They do probably know.
But the issue here is that MC brought in Modern day Bows which aren't simply made of Wood or Bamboo, but rather made using modern technology (from the shape to the string used). So, it would probably be somewhat more harder to use for any first timer, who are only used to simply Wood/Bamboo Bows.

Ahh, another trope of "it's modern so it's better" . . . Those appear to be around a 45 pound pull, a rather standard bow for modern sport archery. They problem is that most medieval war bows (for non horse riders) started at 80 pounds and went to 150 for english longbows. And for the china area, the Qing bow (about the size of those shown in the manga) used by the military from 1650-1730 an 80 pound bow was considered minimal for an adult man. Modern mass produced bows would be considered childrens playthings.

Either the author didn't do their research, or all his subjects are far too weak.

@daraku Ever consider the fact that this is otherworldly-setting and the folks there simply don't possess the same strength as earthling people?

makes me want to pick up the bow again to show them how it's really done fml...

Would have thought with all the hard labor the people of that world would be a bit more stronger.

Oh i see. Hes not strong enough to pull the bow back, but tell him to stand straight and suddenly hes stronger. Truly groundbreaking.

@RonBWL Bows are still a common weapon hard to master yes but medieval people or primitive are still familiar with it I would have like him introducing the repeating crossbow instead.
