Maybe I'll try reading the novel. This manga or web comic or whatever you want call it is pretty good but. Stuff seems really skippy. Definitely never met that family. Definitely never saw how sexy cat girl became maid? Why she not wifey? He instead treat her as bed maid and regular maid? Also like never goes to earth etc.

So I guess I meant its colorful but shit.

Sadly that won't work, if his adversaries start an embargo. But we'll have to see if either the author thought about that or if it is possible for the cities enemies to pull it off. He might be able to buy food and other commodities for the city, with very few gold, but that only works until that city runs out of it. And the people will start to be suspicious how he is securing that otherworldly stuff. But chances are, that if the commodities he imports, would break that embargo down after a few weeks. So in the end it might even work and he might win in an ecological war. Then again they aren't above to send/work with/tolerate bandits and could try to take it by force. But then there are guns and nobody said he must bring in the formula of gunpowder into this world, if he can just supply a limited amount of ammunition. But then again the MC is Chinese, right? How should he secure those firearms and ammunition? That last problem might be a though one. (II fucking love what if scenarios.)

I do hope for a brief flashback later on explaining how catgirl went from "shirt only" to "maid" (getting her into the maid costume seems like it would be easy, since it's clothes and she barely has that, but why does she follow him around?)

why is he having a hunter teach him how to govern a city? He might as well ask the peasants. Honestly, they are probably a better pick then the hunter since they about city issues.

That outfit seems a bit absurd, doesnt fit that worlds style and stands out, people will think hes nuts. Also his "i am blank name i never tell a lie" line is a bit crap. he should wait until he has done something to earn their trust and then say "have i ever lied to you?", simply stating you never lie seems like a con...
