He said if this never happened they would have been "living" separately, not sleeping separately. They probably lived in separate apartments before and he's using that as an excuse because uncomfortable sleeping with her as a child. I'm not sure what you mean by "one of those manga."

Well... from what we can see she doesn't know he's smoking, he hide cigarettes under a cabinet and smoke near a window. And probably he's not allowed to drink because kids can't metabolize alcool and could cause problem with his liver, also with such a small size he could get drunk with only a beer or less.

@Exia1987 true. his body turn into a child, so even though he is an adult. it will be more harmfull to smoke and drink with that body. especially if he can't get back to his usual body, and have to grow up normaly all over again
