@alanala its Godzilla logic, he believes he's siding with the safer of two options. He thinks that as long as Koyomi believes he intends to honor their contract that she will protect him from whatever is causing the nightmares since she can't willingly and intentionally cause his death until the month duration of their contract has expired. But the nightmare demons have no such restrictions or rules that could safeguard his life so he is hoping he can use Koyomi as a shield that will neutralize the demons while he and the research posse try to find a way that will allow him to safely nullify the contract without endangering him once the demons are taken care of.
