Suimitsutou Ha Shoujo Ni Kajirareru - Ch. 8 - What Are You Going To Do With Me?

I am ahead in translation... I'm so pissed at what I missed before i reread the chapters, that I literally yelled "what the fuck"

@goldengummy I put wrong.... was just reading ahead and man I can't wait for what's to come...

@Lilliwyt
Yeah, I change the image size of most webcomics to 700 pixels because otherwise, it is difficult for me to read comfortably.

Why is the resolution on the images so blurry/zoomed in? Do we need to provide better images for the raws? If so is there a place where I can help with that?

Wait... We got some kind of monologue from Riko? She's getting attached?

Agh, this is one of the mangas I follow I hesitate to read because of the gigantic ball of drama I can foresee on the distance.

@tantei_metal the drop in quality on certain images is due to mangadex limiting uploads to 100mb, so parts had to be degraded to fit. It sucks, but is necessary. Zooming hasn't changed, all of these come straight from the original raws.

@richman @lilliwyt you'll wanna change it to fit your preferences, we use the originally sized raws, mangadex formats it, so you'll want to decide how much you see at once.

@buggleballugles @raknasuu Time for some (knowing what comes) indredibly s e x y drama!!!

I have the hardest time trying to tell who's talking and who's thinking in this story. This is a problem I often have with manga, but it seems worse here than usual, probably because of the 'stream of consciousness' style of thinking dialogs.

So... to clarify, Momo confronts Riko about how she's feeling and asks Riko what she wants from her, and Riko responds to her purely about emotions and pleasure, ignoring the broader questions and burning away the remaining time with a kiss. While doing this, she's thinking about how she can secure leverage on Momo. Then Momo resolves to learn more about Aoi. The 'onee-chan' bit at the end is when Momo's sister shows up at her apartment and is surprised to find her not home and then calls her.

Did I mostly understand it correctly?

Edit: Changed a bunch of stuff around after re-reading a couple times. I misunderstood a lot originally.

@mmosimca momo was the one thinking (about asking her name). Momo resolves to talk with Aoi, and Riko admits to herself that she wants to see momo again.

I don't understand what's even happening anymore. Why does the MC believe that the girl gives a shit about her beyond being a customer? I mean, girls doing sex work to pay for higher education is not even that rare, why does she think "Riko" is going specifically after her to mess with her life?

@Kamui: Probably because she's pretending to not know her.

Still, she may just not want to mix her education and sex work, which is understandable.

@mmosimca Well, for me at least, that seems absolutely normal when you are doing sex work. I mean, why does she need to be upfront with her instead of pretending to not know each other? "Riko's" reputation is on the line here too, not just the MC's.

This was an interesting chapter.

Momo is really confused and her questions about Riko's intentions are something that she should have considered before asking for Riko's services again(now that she knows Riko might be Aoi, her student, therefore something that might screw up her carrer). However, she is completely mistaken if she thinks that highly of herself.
Like, Riko is a sex worker, it doesn't matter her reasons for doing what she does. It's not like she is closer to Riko than any of her clients, not to mention, Aoi might not want to interact with a client while she isn't doing her work - which is not only understandeable, but also wiser.

Right now, even if Momo wanted to keep seeing and meeting up with Riko, it's quite foolish to try interacting with her while she is Aoi. Not only its arrogant to think she is special over all of Riko's clients but also, it could allow others around her to find out what is happening.

I get that Momo is in love or something similar, that love(specially the first love) makes us weird things, and that she has no previous experiences in these situations to help her deal with everything as a rational adult, but dear God... At least take a deep breath and do not jump into conclusions.

All in one, the next chapter could lead into some interesting developments. I wonder what is going on Riko's/Aoi's head.

And the sister... I predict she will not only ask akward questions but also will notice how Momo is acting differently. I wonder if she will find out what is going on and if she will berate her older sibling.
