Actually, this could've been sold if they did use drugs. Now, I am not one to judge people's taste but the whole turning into something else is just weird. Monster girl is the line I draw with weird human hybrids because they are fundamentally girls with monster parts, while things like this where the true form is a weird ass alien, turning into human form doesn't matter when it's essentially not the real you. And if the real you is an alien then sayonara.

Couldn't he just donate sperm at this point? They have space travel and unrivalled survivalence, even if she can't go back, it should be possible with help of some tools.
And sleeping pills were a decent solution. She comes up with it, so he would have consent, meaning no ethical dilemma at all (even if she had one, seeing as she is not human or animal). There is of course a problem if that would even work, but they could try it.
