What I don't get is why she wouldn't feign amnesia. Something along the lines of"I hit my head a while ago and now my memories are all jumbled, sorry but who are you again?". Sure it might seem unrealistic but I feel like it's very likely she would at least get more information, and she could pretend to "recall her memories" after he brings them up.
