Surviving as a Maid - Ch. 4

i, too, have acquired this miraculous gift and curse of a "customer voice". it's handy in certain situations but sometimes it just pops out when i'm talking and DON'T WANT IT TO

i mean being inlove is fine and all, but the fucking treatment of his wife...shits bad, shes just a prisoner, fuck it, i would totally understand if she tried to harm the baby, like it would be the only thing in her power, of course she wont but damn

Am I missing something between the last chapter? Like who answered her when she went to visit the maids next door??

The Queen is so pitiful. Finally, maids that don't just suck up to the powerful (King and his lover) and step on the weak (the poor Queen).

It's not like the King is beheading them, just kicking them out of the palace, right? I don't see why she has to treat this guy with such consideration when it seems like it's his "words" that made the Queen a prisoner.

my blood is boiling
i fear for the queen's life rn
i hope the king and his concubine don't brainwash the child to believe that his mother hated him/threw him away, cuz they're giving me those vibes rn

"where did the original ash go?" nice question tho

also, i feel bad for the queen :( even though i support bl and such, the queen deserves freedom tbh

@sonyaism I guess the author thought that wasn't important and ended that scene right there. I mean, on one we miss what was said during that get together and don't know who Seb is(yet), but on the other the story progresses without too much filler(although filler isn't inherently bad if done well). We might get a flashback of that scene later showing Seb and a brief amount of what was said then.

Tho it's possible, does nobody think about how can the prince be blonde when both his parents have black hair?

And what's with "born under a star so blah, blah, blah"? The guy is clearly a piece of 💩 and behaves as such, taking everything away from the queen. It doesn't matter how lucky he is if he behaves like a b*tch. No wonder all the love he should be getting from everyone is concentrated in how much the king, who is on the same level, loves him (clearly being the only person that is stupid enough to love such a sh*tty person)

No but... what kind of starry-eyed BL novel has them being absolute shits to the girl stuck in the relationship to this extent?

Except when said woman is presented as a villain, of course. But this lady clearly isn't; "gentle and wise to the end of her days" and whatnot.

This is one heck of a strange novel we're working with here. Is it just supposed to be horribly badly written...?

Like, this premise would make total sense if it was all like, "wow, the book didn't mention this toxic half of it," but that's not it either. The protagonist seems to know an awful lot of the awful things they do to the queen already.

King is an asshole. Poor queen.

@Miyono-chan
Genetics isn't that simple, you only need one member of your ancestor who was white in a family of black people to have a white baby one day for example.
That's why DNA test is important.
