@blipbooop the novel is complete so if you'll like to know if they get what they deserve then hopefully there's a spoiler thread out there or one soon to be made other than that I can't tell you from the little chapters they currently have released. The novel is less that 171 chapters. So who knows when they'll reach the ending depending on how many chapters of the novel are in the chapters they are releasing

I know book isekai are supposed to be wish fulfillment and power fantasy but why do the original novels always have such aggravating plots like this? Are books that treat characters like trash actually that common in the east?

I understand feeling powerless in this new world and wanting to suck up to the one who hold power in there but this shit leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The emperor and his toy boy are so unsightly and the MC is just useless and has morbid going for her. I don't expect her to shoot laser beams from her eyes and punish all the sinners but an MC eith something special is preferable.
I know I might be judging her character too harshly since it's only chapter 4 but she seems like a spineless weakling so far. Usually strong MCs display some uniqueness from the get go

@Eggyeoh what do you expect her to do? She is still trying to understand things and how far she's allowed to go with her actions etc.
she doesn't have the jurisdiction to even help the queen- helping the queen would be that she has to help the queen escape that's the only benevolent thing I can think of cuz there's no way that the queen will get the king's favor.

Pretty realistic though.
I have no comment about the novel of this webtoon popularity but I can say that they're all a lot of novels that focus on the main character or couple and because they make the love seem so justifiable, gorgeous and all-encompassing the characters that experience plight due to the main characters' love are overshadowed by the world-tipping romance of the MCs...
This is probably a case of that and not alot of readers realise this sometimes.
I'm pretty much like this MC (Ash) though, I read to a certain degree of the book or novel to see how things turn out for the side characters that may have experienced negativity due to the MCs' love pursuit, in many cases I've dropped novels due to characters being mistreated for no reason but being nice to one of the MCs and the other one being jealous of upset with that so the person is literally punished or smthn (in a specific case regarding a certain novel which I will never forget was a situation in which the guy's whole field of medicine was burnt down simply because he was being nice to the female lead time and time again he never crossed any lines, he understood the boundaries and didn't pester her yet that's what happened... that was his living...)

@Writerfromanotherstar Not saying the MC has to take down the king/concubine rn since obviously she doesn't have the power to do so, but I was at least expecting some sympathy from her. She literally gives no fucks about the queen and only cares about her own survival. As a reader that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
