@Astraea There's a couple pages describing it at the end of Ch 1, but the bitch princess has a massive inferiority complex towards her sister and is willing to play backstabbing political games in order to fight a non-existent conflict that exists only inside her own head.

You know, the usual career politician stuff.
 
@Allexio well it's established that either a cat is super rare or normally doesn't exist at all (since the "god" said they've never seen one).

@botodopo mistaken for a hero boy is basically completely isolated from both his friend and the world as a whole and only being told what the royals want him to hear...totally not 100% similar to the actually rather effective cult-style brainwashing technique from RL by the way (only like 95% probably, after all RL style doesn't isolate you in another universe)...and if he actually asks to see the real MC they probably tell him his friend is fine and probably something like he went on a journey to visit another town so he isn't there right now
 
@Astraea, because it is easier to just kill him, and have the other guy as the hero. Rather then admit the truth that she made a mistake, and lose face and reputation aswell.

Wow, nothing much really happened in this chapter, the only thing that advanced the plot was her ugly mug at the end wanting him dead.
 
what ever starbright said... the princess knowing who the real hero is not yet revealed... but the first princess conflict scene should have confirmed that she made a mistake or shes just being oblivious... so no prove... but she wanting to kill the real hero is probably because of the newspaper said something about the real hero and she needs to erase him in order for her future to be secure...

but what i wanted to really say is maybe the cat will do some work next chapter? since a cat being chained in a cave + being seen as a demon... that just says the cat is something... the cat even helped him and they did the typical "nah no way lets just forget about that it must be just a coincidence" bs kek... well everyone already knows that no way that the cat is normal :shrugs ... i mean the mc is still weak no?

That aside, I cant frigging work this princess out.. She knows hes the true hero ? but only "now" wants to dispose of him? when she could of done it right at teh begining and has wasted resources monitoring him. But wait, the surrogate hero is training in the castle, cant she just show him off if she wants to divert attention away from the real hero? I have no fucking idea what shes thinking. if she wanted a frigging hero, why cast him out... Was it really cause she wanted the bishie to be the true hero and that pissed her off ?

That being said, I get the feeling this cats going to be a pretty useful bodyguard. I wanna see what it does :D
