He knows how to bake bread just fine. Maybe the otherworld’s concept of delicious homemade food is just an abomination to this world’s aesthetics. Like Death March, where Japanese idol-like faces and bodies are considered scrawny and ugly.
@Cableman
If you don't notice yet, only the MC complains about the foods and he is from a country that use spices for cooking the foods. So it kinda makes a sense if you look at his perspective. And everyone seems okay with their foods, so most likely they find it delicious.
BTW I don't find foods from the video you provided appetizing, and yes I'm from a country that uses spices in their foods.
Still not 8/10 material, but somehow I enjoyed this chapter far more, than chapter 1. Maybe because it this time more then, you're summoned, summoner is a cu*t, first encounter with a monster, Deus ex machina, money, the end. It was actually decent. A very good trend. Looking out for chapter 3.
The food is probably fine. It's common in japan for people to think themselves amateur connoisseur, the reason why so many isekai obsess over the food in the first place. It's probably just ordinary or relying on just the ingredients natural flavoring, since spices would be more a luxury.

Something like foods with many ingredients, like beef rendang, okonomiyaki, salisbury steak. Simple foods (?) with nice fragrant are also nice as well, like kebab, steak, and burger.

Don't turn into cooking shit, don't turn into cooking shit, don't turn into cooking shit, don't shit into cooking turn, don't turn into cooking bullshit, don 't turn into cooking shit, don't turn into cooking bullshit.
