@Quiescent-Rose The headband is intentionally worn to keep her hair out of the way so she can draw...if you're trying to draw professionally for your career why would you block half your vision when you're working? That would make 0 sense. She's not trying to look good while wearing it, she's trying to efficiently work.

Also I'm fine with her hair style changing because it was part of her character growth. She's become more confident and less shy. So I think that's ultimately a good thing.

You aren't supposed to simply ride on trends on fads and mindlessly copy what is popular. You are supposed to read what is popular, see what works and why it works, and apply it to what you wanna draw and add a unique spin to it by merging both factors.
And well, sometimes what you like is niche and will never go beyond niche. Sometimes you have to accept that fact.
