I don't understand why people say it would've been nicer of Lieze to just tell Isaac that she's not interested in him. As long as Isaac doesn't tell her about his feelings toward her, she has no way of telling him she's not interested. Furthermore, she doesn't have a responsibility to tell him for the same reason.
If anything it's kind of her to clarify to Isaac that she's not interested in him in this indirect, yet effective manner. She didn't have to do anything, as he didn't actively pursue this romance.
The translator's comparison also goes flat. Sending an e-mail/text to someone means you're directly telling them how you feel about this. Lieze managed to convey her position without even confronting Isaac.
TL;DR, Isaac isn't pitiable. Lieze handled this as effectively & kindly as she could in her situation, as Isaac didn't leave her any other options.

Theres not much they can do about it even if they do find out, since Kazura is the only one that can provide said food and any they are scared shitless of doing anything that would even slightly annoy him with the legends of what happened in the past.

Yeah in the long run its better for Isaac to know that Lieze was just stringing him along, i dont doubt he actually had feelings for her, but maybe now he can get over it and move forward.
Lieze on the other hand is in a for a rough awakening when she gets told off because Kazura just isnt interested in her.

Its an Isekai, most authors are ignorant of the actual developments made in the world history that dont concern Japan, but in the series favor, their technological advancements seem to be early bronze age, which fits the bill for Ancient Greece Period. I mean they didnt have water wheels, that shit came about in 4000 AD

@boag On what notion do you think Kazura isn't interested in her? Admittedly, yes, Kazura is obviously in love with Valetta (and she him).. and I think the feudal lord and his wife see and understand that as well. However, Kazura is at least somewhat interested in Lieze, and additionally.. to these people he is a GOD. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him getting married to Lieze and Valetta at some point, regardless if polygamy is something that is commonly practiced or not. Unless of course you've read this in the novel and I'm just talking out of my ass.
