They hinted that the space-time spiritual god was manipulating time to cause all of this. He was trying to protect humanity. I doubt he'd set it up so that the enemy of mankind was able to take part in it.

Not reincarnation, that happens within the same timeline. Reincarnation is dying, and then a generation to many years later, being reborn as a child.

He returned using the Time God book. 'Returning' is stepping back in time to take back over a previous point in your own timeline with 'current' memories.

I'm thinking one of two possibilities, 1 the trope of this type of manhwa where the place doesn't exist in this plane of reality but superimposes on it to open a path, usually either because of natural cycles of dimensional drift or the owner's intent if said owner is above a certain level and able to directly interfere with sub-space or 2 he's exactly where he's looking for...but needs to look down... (like the library from Avatar season 2)

1) His memory of the desert is from events YEARS in the future.
2) The thing about deserts of sand, the dunes move, the landscape of a desert changes every year with winds blowing the piles of sand into new piles. Things are always being covered, uncovered and covered again.

Its very likely that at this time, the temple is covered in sand (your probably right that hes standing right on it, that is a typical troupe)
and that years in the future when he had found it the first time was during a period it was uncovered.
