Haven't dragon veins been translated as ley lines occasionally? A dragon vein is kind of an Eastern concept due to how dragons are over there. In the West dragons are typically just monsters, even if they are intelligent in many a lore, so they aren't particularly integrated with nature in the same sense as in the East.
