Tearmoon Empire - Vol. 3 Ch. 13

PHAHAHA
I can't help but love this story. What a shame that the chapters are pubished so slowly :')

Dang impressive that the first thought she had was "epic food preservation skills no need to worry when famine hits"

@Meo Well, it is and then it isn't. She knows what's it like to starve now and she did get lectured in her past life about it. It's like someone in 2021 immediately recognizing the benefits of a bidet after spending six weeks in 2020 not being able to buy toilet paper. Hindsight is always 20/20

They really do a good job of making her legitimately look like she's big braining everything while she's truly just stumbling through them. It's always a joy to read.

And those flashbacks always get me in the heartstrings.

The motives are different but at least they’re both on board. This time.

Massive spoiler here, it will be explained more in the LN , especially in Vol. 3 and Vol 4:
Ancestors of Mia and the rest of Tearmoon's nobles were invaders. The first emperor made an agreement with a doomsday cult that in exchange of their help, the king would build a contradiction in the empire that despite the fact that the land is very fertile, the nobles would be encouraged to pursue activities other than farming. This obviously will cause the empire to self destruct later during the time of famine, as the empire won't have enough food to feed itself and it would cause rebellion, chaos, and destruction, which what happened in Mia's original timeline. In the end, Mia managed to avert the destruction in her timeline, but it instead would happen in her granddaughter's timeline.

And the chaos would spread all over the world. which is basically the goal of the cult, to bring destruction to the world, so a better world would emerge from the ashes.
