Tenohira Kaitaku Mura de Isekai Kenkokuki: Fueteku Yome-tachi to Nonbiri Mujintou Life - Vol. 1 Ch. 2

That's what you get for growing weed in a backwater country with no legalization laws, kiddo.

gotta admit, I was expecting some hardships to come from the church since his wasn't one of the "proper" gods whose names are kept relatively easily accessible, but this was a bit beyond expectations

@Niemand But MC knew the name of the god, which is way better then the mark. If he didn't find anything out, ask dad. He wont get upset that you found out, clearly he is a splendid character.

@InsaneInsomniac : That the church hides the names of gods from the public should be the first sign they are up to no good.

How can you praise the sun god for banishing the night if you do not know his name...

@sjmcc13
I don't think they hide the names of their main gods from everyone, just from kids until they've "come of age" and learned if they have a blessing. probably to prevent kids from accidentally activating abilities and making a mess of things before they know better, after all the main gods' names were so poorly protected a random orphan was able to learn them just by sneaking a bit...it's the OTHER god names they hide that are far better protected, like the (supposedly) evil god that blessed this MC, it's a safe bet that if his friend hadn't gotten a god of truth gift and told him then he would have asked the church the name and they would not have let him know whose blessing he carried and in turn that tropical island cruise he won would have been a death sentence instead of a mildly annoying exile with a growing farm city in his magic space to live off

Ah, yes...The ol' unexpected tired trope of the church being evil.

I mean, it's a "tired trope" for a reason. Having power over others does terrible things to people.

Trope? It's fact. The church and its crusades are historically evil. Even today, the church is igniting anti-gov sentiment within my country. Not to say the gov is flawless, but hates are no solution.

Nobody expects the inquisition. At least, outside isekai mangas that include religion as a major factor.

weird, so many questions. how big is that other world? is it a whole planet beyond the fence? there's a sun, so are there other stars at night, a whole galaxy, other planets? if the villagers can't see him, won't they see him moving objects, will he pass through them if he tries to touch them? the elf assistant was shown talking to the villagers, so they can see her? where do these villagers come from? if MC is invisible and lifts up a potato, will the villagers see a levitating potato? will they react? if they even can't notice the floating potato, does that mean they are like mindless NPCs? how did he afford to bring tools and masonry as an orphan? story didn't explain how wealthy his adopted father might be. i thought the smoke thing triggers rain from existing rain clouds, so how did he produce rain if there are no clouds? as a father with knowledge about gods and blessings, why didn't the father try to find out the kids' blessing and train them to give them a head start? or is it taboo to talk about it until the ceremony? well maybe i shouldn't think too much.

@wankerLin maybe they know it wasn't his choice to be blessed by an evil god. So the evil god can't influence people they exile. That is surprisingly nice for inquisitors. Just wondering how pissed his sister is

the word for evil god can also mean like "fake god" which is probably why he was like "dafuq u dont know my god?"
