Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon aru? - Ch. 13

Kinda curious how it’s different from any other sword. Sure it’s designed to kill goblins but unless it can completely negate all his skills, it’s not like she’ll have the chance to use it

"A wise man never seeks out war but he must always be ready for it."

For anyone who thinks the Count is evil, this quote should explain his behaviour.

Why on earth is there a weapon dedicated to killing goblins? Apparently he's the first one to have longer than a week lifespan. I could understand if it was like a spear or some other weapon good for killing groups of goblins because they can multiply so fast, but it makes no sense for a silly little dagger to be a useful against anything but a single goblin.

I’d think it better to hold off and see how the skill trading works out before handing out an instant death blade.

It's nice to have a magic dagger for when the deviant goblin is commanding a herd of wyverns and pulling meteors down from the sky while shooting lightning out of his fingers into space-defying portals.

It better be some sort of skill-sealer because a dagger isn't even that helpful when you're being cornered by a mob of regular goblins, much less some sort of super skill-hoarding goblin.

Tbh I’m getting a little tired of the let’s pretend to be friends with the goblin while constantly undermining that relationship with plans for their downfall.

I hope the payoff is worth it, it’s clear a mutual friendship with the humans of that world (or at least their leadership) is impossible.

@Chrona, this weapon exists for killing only the most deviant goblins. Because of the 7-days life only one in the village can aquire a lot of skills, living others with their original ones.

if u make bet. then shouldn't it be some thing equal. like an eye for and eye, a tooth for a tooth?

@FireFox
That still doesn't make sense though, and it's because of what you pointed out. I don't care how powerful a goblins is, Kingdoms do not fall in a week span, especially if the Demon King was almost killed meaning they're militaristic right now. You don't need to kill the goblin, at worst, you just suffer the siege for 7-days and poof, problem gone.

Even if we forget that, If a single goblin is dangerous, it must have enough skills that a dagger is still not going to be the appropriate tool to kill him. Maybe an arrow would work better from a distance, but a dagger is not the correct item. Unless this just happens to be a skill sealing device in the shape of a dagger.

@juntaksadis
Not necessarily, or to state another way, to MC the bet was of equal value. Granted, the count was planning on cheating from the start, so he didn't care what he bet, the point wasn't what he would or wouldn't win, but to test MC. Meanwhile, MC viewed the bet of being a good proposition.

@Add1152000

To be fair, the goblin MC is an extreme anomaly and could be considered as a major possible threat by just about anyone who hasn't actually gotten to know his personality.
Them taking precautions on the case of *If* isn't actually weird , but as long as they remain precautions there's nothing really wrong with it other than a moral standpoint.

It's when they actively start betraying whatever agreement they have, or actually cause problems for the goblins that he should really be angry.

I mean, every government has a variety of contingency plans for the wildest, weirdest and most unlikely scenarios (not to mention the more likely ones) against maybe everyone else and everything that could happen (if they don't, they need to). And that's okay, as long as it remains in preparations eg. stockpiling supplies near borders or what not, it's when they actively prepare for the plans that the shit hits the creek eg. mobilizing reserves near the border

someone's got to photo shop it so that when the case is open that inside is a chibi goblin slayer
