a) Prioritize names
b) Prioritize skills

a) Means that no matter what, the leaders of the groups are the direct descendants, and if someone has a skill , but part of the wrong group, they could pass it to them
b) Means that in each generation, one of them who has the skill is chosen as the new leader

Of course, if they only name the few leaders, then even if they don't have the skills, subordinates will probably be around

Why have a name that keeps getting passed on to associate with a skill when the skills only get passed on one generation, you only get to pass on skills you're born with. Otherwise goblins would explode with skills.

Hanzo 1 dies and passes skill and name on to youngest combat squad member

Hanzo 2 will have 2 combat skills then, his own and 1s, when he dies he passes on his skill and name to youngest in Squad who becomes 3 (1s skill is lost forever)

This way the name always passes on, the skill passing on is only a bonus and keeps them more focused in groups
