I like that people are irritated about how strong Kokuyou is. This has the slice of life tag, and the MC specifically wants to avoid putting much effort into anything. He's not interested in going off to fight progressively stronger enemies on the way to the boss fight, he'd rather read a book in the shade of a tree while his apocalyptic pet dog sleeps next to him.
