@Kazouie Well they could do what they’re doing currently and go over the details and come up with a plan. Or they could yell PEOPLE ARE SHOOTING ARROWS and cause a panic. There is also the great option of running to his father in the darkness somehow making it to him and still talking to come up with a plan. Or which I’m pretty sure you’re going for is he lets the bird light up he activates his special isekai mc night vision follows the trajectory of the arrow with his eyes and then takes out the culprit. Idk about you but since every other option his braindead I like what he is currently doing.

Have you tried mangas like- Akatsuki no Yona or Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
Both have red haired princesses
Also, what about Snow White or Aladdin or the kind....
There are actually a lot of princesses that did not had blond hair.

The idea of a being called fairy of darkness, who can envelope light in their darkness looks like a interesting concept. More author's should deviate from the trodden path and be like this manga without relying on standard fantasy creatures *cough* slimes *cough* dragons *cough* wyverns and so on.
