Tensei Reijou wa Shomin no Aji ni Uete Iru - Ch. 5

@Goldenzeal

from this chapter alone:

1. Cristea met the prince First, THEN she contracted Kurogane and Mashiro (around chapter 80-100 cmiiw)

2. The prince is not a huge jackass. Here he was saying things like "Show me your bad food. I will put you in your place!". In WN he was instantly captivated by her, thinking like 'there's a fairy standing in front of me' but Unintentionally called her 'repulsive food eating lady'.

3. In WN he didn't throw the food, this is the point that is most disagreeable to me, like, WTF??

in short, the story here is massively shortened, the sequence of events is shifted (these alone is fine by me and happen quite often with adaptation). But the character trait of the prince is just different altogether

@iiMomoLandii Japanese orcs are the equivalent to pigmen in old western fantasy, as opposed to beefcake greenskins that modern western fantasy uses. So naturally they taste like pork.

@Fraksinus I imagine ork meat to be an allegory to steaks: If pork is like steak, then ork meat is probably like the Japanese equivalent to steak, Wagyu. As the ork gets more and more powerful, more and more inter-muscular fat develops, improving the quality of the meat, therefore, a ork king would be equivalent to BMS grade 12 Kobe Beef

Orcs are considered monster/meat. Its not some kind of beastkin or birdmen.

Clearly someone havent read a lot of isekai to differentiate edible and cannibalism.

hmm, i think my rant in unjustified if i think about it... it's probs the translator mixing up Hot and "Hot"....

Edit:

She could have just shown the pile of orc kings, revealed the contracted beasts, and say her end of the contract was to cook for them... That would have been plenty.

Welp, we got someone who doesn't fan over Japanese food like every other food isekai.

Are you happy now?

forget the prince, she could overthrew the kingdom with her divine beasts if she want to. time for new queen arise to power.

But.... that particular dish didn't use any especially strange ingredients.... just meat, bread, and sauce........

My point on this chapter,

a royalty should endorse such possibility of newly acquired food and develop it in such a way the populace will try it to be with them everyday.
In this way, a massive reform will be made to sustain the demand of the populace while generating new tax revenue as well as enriching all the lands of the nobles because another invention will be made out of it and a new demand will occur and need a new plot of land to plant the said product or mine it and sell it.

That way, an accomplishment fitting for a royalty would be available, and history will praise them for much...

Just think of French fries, hamburger. Why other Isekai Manga always introduce that kind of food...?
Because, it was so popular in the populace that it generates a waves of demand that move an economy.

If this kind of royalty will be put into the crown, their kingdom will not move that much

How can you ban the entirety of something you don't know and have never seen. And what part of that dish was livestock feed?
