Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita - Vol. 5 Ch. 26 - Named Item

@Randomizer
Didn't he said that protection was due blessing/naming of the god, and blessing was quite narrowly focused, so only black cat kin can use it.
It's pretty much god blessed fran herself with that armor, there is no way that every random soldier will get the same treatment from the god.

tl;dr, god want fran to use skimpy clothing, so god made it impossible to prefer actual armor over skimpy one, atleast on perfomance side :)

Finally, some vitamin Fran! I've been suffering from emotional malnutrition ever since ST dropped the WN...

The perfect way to describe the latter half of this chapter; Old man pounds loli catgirl. Bad jokes aside though, Fran is too precious. I want my own Fran.

Does it bug anybody else how the belt is worn entirely as an accessory... yet she needs an additional sash to keep her shorts on? (Assuming the belt is actually the, uh, belt, and not the cord across the chestguard as the image indicates.) It doesn't even act as something to position her right hand's dagger higher up, as that appears to be the job of the aforementioned cord.

One more for the Too Many Belts tv-trope page (along with a leather variant of the chanmail bikini with deflector shields)... 😅

Well at least it's only one too much, so still far for the Final Fantasy level...

So that's their excuse for having the same blacksmith is all cities?
Nice.

Ah there we go again with less armor -> more def theory. Strange thing I got a boner from it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gods' naming sense; "Black Cat [insert item name]" Aside from the species only thing, that's a very uncreative name Gods.

They inadvertently explained Amanda's lack of armor as well. A good double bonus. Although I have to wonder, why the blessing does top high speed attacks up to a certain amount of force, does it stop a slow attack? For example you see Fran can grab Amanda thorough the armor and I would imagine that someone would be able to touch Frans stomach if they aren't applying too much force. Does that lead to a situation where you can push the knife in real gently ala Saving Ryans' Privates and bypass the protection. 🤔

Now featuring Fran's cute belly button.

At least the author bothered with an explanation for how less armor can be more.
