Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita - Vol. 6 Ch. 29 - Encounter With The Undead

That's no Mehrunes' Razor if some armor/equipment set protects against the instant death chance. Only plot armor should be strong enough to resist it.

@Panzercracker Reading xianxia, I see it all the time.

Jean Dovey is here now, I liked him in the webcomic and his skeletons. Fran remains adorable as well. This artist is one of my favorite.

I bet it's like an instant death spell it never procs when you need it, but constantly on fodder that would die in two hits anyway.

Good music choices shrimperor. Falcolm rarely disappoints. Brings back the trauma of that bat bastard Vagullion in the mines. If he was guarding the floating island, this would probably be the last chapter...

Also surprised a necromancer has a green thumb. Thought his innate magicks would interfere with germination of life. Guess he has plenty of control. Or he can summon good skellys like Bernardo to tend to the fields.

Mana potion? It's a thing ya know... sigh this is getting retarded. Not to mention why not develop a skill that can turn hp to mp? Ugh....... so fucking stupid it hurts.

@XL is it a thing? I forget if this world established them or not. If so I suppose it is goofy they wouldn't have them- though actually, I see the logic given a sword probably can't consume potions, and fran's mana is pretty limited either way.

For that matter, with the HP to MP thing... does the sword even have HP in terms like that? And then Fran obviously doesn't have a ton of either HP or MP herself if anything.

I'll definitely admit some of these MIGHT be feasible, but honestly that doesn't at all make the lack of them weird.

A better critique is why they'd go to the island knowing they might run out and have issues, not why they don't have specific backups that wouldn't necessarily work at all. But hey, read whatever you like anyways, it's no favorite of mine though it's not as bad as you're acting like either.

Jean is top boy. Casual reminder that he could just clobber Fran to death with his staff at this point, no magic or battle skills needed.

@XL "how dare the protagonists not just casually conquer every obstacle"

read some different shit my man

@fari i kinda like that they hared off at the island immediately like assholes. there's a real 'adventuring' feel to this that a lot of these manga tend to lose after a while. it probably helps that sword dad doesn't actually have any goals of his own outside of taking care of his small cat daughter, so the story ends up moving forward more naturally and freely than 'the powerful man from japan builds a harem to kill god'

@macarroiz
Havent you seen the A-Team movie, they safely landed a free falling tank using a similar methode. If Hollywood says it is physically possible, why cant manga?

/s

@halloween20 off the top of my head I don't remember when Amanda speaks about him, and I should have thrown a spoiler up on my post, I got the info from reading the novel awhile back.

edit: @halloween20 @Edjan just skimmed through and on chapter 20 she first mentions him and they show a picture, then again on chapter 26 she calls him the weird spectremancer
