I'm thinking it is more because it has been so long since he has been anything else, so he may as well finish the act and let his "fellow" adventurers finish the act. He already sees a part of himself on the other side, acting as an ally. He isn't willing to sully their current situation with rest of himself.

It's already one literal years since the arc starts, a dungeon arc that happens on a random floating island in the middle of nowhere, I have low hopes of what's coming after this arc

@VeilaFN2 - in the WN, it was the worst-translated arc, nearly unreadable at times.

@pingustrategist - I am under the impression he is corrupted by all those grudges. While his original personality isn't that bad, thousands of people tortured at that facility are expressing themselves through him.
