It's literally a deus ex machina, with a god and everything. lol
Not necessarily a bad thing, but it is what it is.
What makes it more obvious the author wrote himself into a corner is his excuse that the "announcer" will now be locked away in some attempt to restore the story's tension now that a literal goddess fixed things. Of course, he left that potential that she might come back later, in case the author needs another "Get out of Jail" card.
Anyways, a deus ex machina is just a literary tool. There's no good or bad with it, just something authors can use. I'm just amused with how this author ended up using it.
