@Onsokumaru Announcer turning into a seraphim is deus ex machina no matter how and which way its being turned.. but it being deus ex machina isnt what gets people peeved off since well preshadowed deus ex machina is often used as event known as story or arc finale.. but its finale only because preshadowing is there.
Here is a video about how deus ex machina works either for or against the story. Its video done by Fandor and focuses on movies but same principle applies to cartoons and mangas aswell.

So what happened here in Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita?
So far existing foreshadowing for this event is random dream in the past with 1 panel of information but nothing to tie it into anything. 2nd is existance of an ability turned into a random narrating force inside protagonists head. Thats it.
Hell the master itself doesnt know wtf suddenly appeared out of a thin air because he used random skill he obtained from dark knight 3 minutes prior which manifested voice inside his head into prettymuch all-knowing seraphim autopilot which took control of his body and teleported them away. Then died off
mangaka (and possible author himself) botched up preshadowing and thats what peeving people off. They want to like the story, they want to keep reading this without a care.. Im reading through web novel right now so i can give a coherent judgement for this because I dont hate the story.. but good god I hate deus ex machina.

Not going to go into too much detail, but I want to let everyone annoyed at this deus ex machina know that in the future
it's not going to be a recurring thing. In fact, there ends up being actual consequence to it and he loses out on stuff he would have otherwise gotten.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but it is what it is.
What makes it more obvious the author wrote himself into a corner is his excuse that the "announcer" will now be locked away in some attempt to restore the story's tension now that a literal goddess fixed things. Of course, he left that potential that she might come back later, in case the author needs another "Get out of Jail" card.
Anyways, a deus ex machina is just a literary tool. There's no good or bad with it, just something authors can use. I'm just amused with how this author ended up using it.

As a novel reader, listening to people keep saying this shit is like how back in the early days of the series everyone was angry at Amanda, not understanding why she was being so clingy with Fran, calling her a momcon and wishing she would fuck off and die etc, and me not being able to say anything about it because it'd be spoilers.

@Amplify what signs? the only thing that remotely adresses this is an image of a cherubim on the sword on chapter 15 and the black thing appearing in chapter 2, and none of those foreshadow anything about the sword being an ultimate being that can access the LITERAL gods' knowledge. That's a Deus Ex Machina. It seems you're justifying this because the author explains it in the future but so far in the manga none of this is hinted at besides a vague image.
