they got it all wrong, they should've paid attention to what gobuta said. gobuta is the important person instead of flamaire. they should've frown upon him instead of her.
@Le_Flemard Basically three merchant leaders from three different countries tried to kiss up to Flamaire (thinking she was the merchant leader for Tempest), in order to get her to come to their country alone to spend obscene amounts of cash and to open trade relations with Tempest. Gobuta, suspicious of the Pick-Up Artists the three leaders hired, stayed with her to cockblock them and report what happened to Rimuru.
she's not formidable, you're just complete idiots. How am I supposed to believe that these people are top rate merchants? They look like total bafoons.
most people are too dumb to realize that veldora or milim is a threat at first glance since people assume threats by appearance alone (or until they start to flaunt their auras), even when they are introduced no one is believing that a demon lord or a dragon is casually talking to them @Sandy
@WillTell un my experience"top rate merchant" inherited those positions and money from their parents and are shit at making deals themselves. Usually they flaunt their money or riches and hope for the best.
Example Trump.
They don't need to have any actual merchant skills because everyone falls for the fallacy that since they have money they must be top grade.
If you want to find actually talented people seek those who climb the social ladder.
@Faryshta Trump isn’t a good example of what you said, sure his father made a lot of money but, he didn’t inherit any of that money. Instead he got a loan of a million usd which would never happen if he wasn’t the kid of said father, but still he made billions of money from that 1m. Even without the loan, he would’ve still been a rich man if his father gave him the inheritance or if he just got a smaller loan. So saying Trump has no merchant skills is an outright lie. Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not a trump supporter, I’m just stating facts not opinions.
... yeah those Merchants poked the dragon. Or well the Demon Lord with Otherwordly Merchant skills
@lingling456 You might want to update your knowledge here, Trump got multiple confirmed Loans in the Millions from his Father and Banks. He also reached the point (especially after the disaster with the Casino) where he simply couldn't pay his creditors, only escaping bankruptcy because the debtors had more to lose if they drop him. (It's a pretty interesting story, we even talked about it in class here in Germany) He currently claims to have Fluid Capital of 1.4 Billion and around 300m-500m Debt but those claims are contested as several larger groups and Banks claim that he has debts to them with the one from the Deutsche Bank alone exceeding 2 Billion.
