This crater's unusual status reminded me of that psycho sci-fi film with Natalie Portman (a comet fell in a lighthouse, and the area was "re-shaped"' as there were doppelgangers).
What's the purpose of volunteering all that info ? She wasn't seriously hoping that would cause them to 'open up' (particularly when there's no amicable or business relationship)?
