Given that MC is so OP but lacking common sense, he could very well be a walking ticking human(?) atomic bomb, although lacking common sense also makes him susceptible to manipulation and deception (and thus could be held in control), commonly done by "evil religious organisation or royalty" in a fantasy setting.
