In my opinion, it's too out of this world for this manga compared to the gag happenings in the past chapters, pun intended. Like, it's "too big" for the manga if that makes sense. I don't think the author should've went with this, or at most stuck this to a single chapter. Well, I do hope this doesn't foreshadow that having literally 100 girlfriends is also too big and the manga might collapse from that...
