Yeah, it's usually pretty weird with 'nobility' and everything, where many families would send their daughters of any age for the slightest chance at the throne (or a high position). The daughter's responsibilities would start from a very young age, and in the time of 'nobility' or whatever it's called, there were cases where you'd even marry a young af child simply because of their house.

Course, this is a manga so the King probably won't actually consider her, but has to spend the day with her anyways.

At first, i 'disliked' the king. I thought, why 31 consorts?

Then i found out it was "law/tradition" (And what a shitty law it is.) and that he is forced to deal with different headaches everyday, for months. He can have my pity.

@theilikepie Have you ever played Crusader Kings? Marriage kind of works that way with nobility. All "maths" and 0 care for preferences. Chances are that family only had a 7 year old daughter that is unwed so they probably just 'threw her in' in hopes the King is a lolicon. They wouldn't really lose anything even if she fails.

Also in their case, the "maths" only apply to themselves.
