I doubt he will kill that assassin and differently than other stories, I am fine with it. Author wonderfully depicted MC that barely cares about anything and it looks like he just observes everything as if he doesn't belong there. Letting him live looks more fun than not doing that (fear + no one can do anything about him).

Honestly the assassin got a point for actually trying to exploit MC's weakness, but he came short because he still underestimates MC in the end.
