So this new group (I’m assuming some secret service or royal guard type force) is punishing treason by disobeying the demon lord.....? I wonder where the logic for that is. Like do they not like this new demon lord, but have a duty to kill any threats to him? Just seems a bit contradictory that whilst punishing the traitors to the demon lord they are directly disobeying the demon lord’s vocalized intentions.

Also the communication network of the demon army is in serious need of reform. So there are apparently these guards he knew nothing about (seems like something your advisor should mention about the job day one) and were pursuing this while the demon lord was also doing so? And either one group could have solved the problem themselves. Seems like a serious misallocation of human resources (must be why the army is in disarray).

@TNT261 @Wolfwhistler I am pretty sure those maids didn’t meant the mc when they said king( mc is lord not king, and that skeleton was called a king). Most likely, they are servants of one of the demon generals, presumably Road Undead. So they may also be traitors.

noo, the character for the game had that combination, like when Momon goes dark knight. Skeleton knight in that world it's considered a curse. But he has been shown without the armor and he's just a skeleton.

@Doomer I think in this case he doesn't see them as a threat. MC has the third eye (allowing him to see everything they're doing?) and so OP that taking care of them is like talking to an angry toddler.

I'd be annoyed if the situation was more serious, or they were planning on killing more than just him.

@0xdeade1f MC is the king of a kingdom on the brink of destruction and here are a group of soldiers that are not only planning treason and rebellion against him but also plan to assassinate him. it doesn't matter of MC is 100x as strong as them he needs to make an example of people like this or it will keep happening. treason needs to be punished as severely as possible.

For those saying that it was a good thing the soldiers committing treason, how will he know now if this was just a localized plot of that few soldiers or if their beastman leader was actually behind it? Executing traitors is justified, but he was capturing them alive to get info out of them. Now he won't be able to.
