Yeah so far, everything is unfolding as predicted, almost boringly so. Don't get me wrong it isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is pretty generic.

Predictable doesn't mean "bad". Technically J.J. Abrams directed films are impossible to predict but I'd rather brush my teeth with a dry razor than watch any of them. Suspense I feel is vastly overvalued as a quality in popular media culture, but I digress.

I enjoyed this chapter. Though admittedly it's because I want to see more of the blood princess that I'm excited. So far following this protagonist has been like trying to eat a blondie that is at least 50% packed dirt with the promise of being served an Anthony Bourdain endorsed dessert if I can finish the whole tray.
