I get that. I do... but that anger should be focused on the perpetrator and not the world, in general. Plus she seems to have random fits of happiness (with her assistant, her mother etc.) and even clever, cordial conversations with darn near everybody but can't spare any for him - he's pretty charming and now, groveling for just a friggin smile from her... I get that she does not want to give him an ounce of hope. I just think she shouldn't be so damn ruthless with just him.
