my first time buying makeup was at an anime convention
stared at this one booth for a few hours trying to figure out what I could possibly need while trying not to look suspicious, eventually they just walked me through it
then I put it all on the next day to go buy more from my convenience store
turns out buying makeup when you know nothing about makeup is pretty easy, store employees will hold your hand and walk you through it wherever you are without judging you
.... and after spending what I assume is close to $500+ on makeup, I just don't wear any anymore cause I just look like a girl now without it
I wonder if you could tell the clerk that you're buying the cosmetics for your (non-existent)girlfriend but describe it like how you would like to look. Say it's for a gift.
Is it really humilating? A boy or man buy cosmetic product, pad/tampon or dress for your family or girlfriend is completely normal in my place... I do sometime buy for them too
