I don't understand him at all as a character. He seems to want his Empress and Queen to like him or atleast not hate him. However, he only acquired them after incurring absolute hatred from killing their parents. He treated the people they care about as simple as killing ants.... This guy has 0 empathy. I don't care if he turns out to be another dragon that's cursed cause the story hints at that. I don't think I'll ever approve of him. I really hope someone else is the ML.

Not sure how I feel about the "soft" image the author is trying to give the Emperor. Ultimately he's not doing it because he cares but because he wants to use her. That said, I'm glad that Mir hasn't gone down the Stockholm syndrome plotline and still hates his guts.

My guess is that his wish is to be "purified" of a curse (?) or to die.
