The City of Imprisoned Love - Vol. 2 Ch. 11 - "The Shortcake That Won't Make You Fat"

Didn't see mental illness coming. But for someone with schizophrenic parent, the horror is real.

Redeingt chapter 10 and then this 11 i feel like a chapter is missing....I mean in Chapter 10 at the end the main was to choose between the two becuse one was supposed to be an enemy and 11 starts with an revealing flashback that Ruka is a "manager"and somhow the main suddenly knows hes a manager?
Why let him choose in chapter 10 anyway if its going this way? Seems like realy bad writing to me,

Heya guys, scanlator here, hope you enjoyed the chapter! Anyways a small clarification on something in page 4 that might have been a bit confusing (it was the same for us originally :p) where Ruka says:

"I became Ruka Mikazuki..." "So I wouldn't become Ruka Mikazuki..."

We decided to go with this due to the fact that it was mentioned that he received a fake name and a fake family and got his memories back through those cakes. He pretended to be Ruka Mikazuki, both to his family (assumed) and to the other people he knew as well so he wouldn't attract any attention and be able to work on catching people who doubted the city. Failing to do that would result in him losing all of his original memories, including those of his mother, that he gained through the cakes, which would result in him really becoming the "fake" Ruka Mikazuki.

Hopefully that cleared up any confusion there might've been about that line~, anyways, be sure to join us on Discord, we're recruiting too!!! https://discord.gg/axBcZ7n

Aw damn that's tragic. Especially since the mother suffered from mental episodes and genuinely didn't want to hurt her child.

Also the "wouldn't become Ruka Mikazuki" line made perfect sense to me, gj translators

The most obvious cliché theme when it comes to children. Meh, it looked interesting at first, but mangaka has no idea what to do with the story. I really wish that authors who touch topic of the mental health would do more research. You can count good series with such motif on the fingers of a clumsy lumberjack...

Called it. Everybody though the girl, bc she was so adamant about proving it to MC, but the kid was always the most suspicious.

It's amazing how one chapter can make you reevaluate everything you thought you knew about a character and can really make the audience like them...
