The City of Imprisoned Love - Vol. 2 Ch. 12 - "Suspicion"

people mad at MC for being stupid can you even tell who the actual manager is without the background story the author made before this part ?

he also has 30 min before everyone dies and is being held in gun point while having a huge cut on his stomach. given his situation anyone will be desperate unless you are some detective genius or something.

The more I read these comments the more I realize that the circus truly never ends.

If I'm told that the life I've lived is a lie and that one of my best friends is out to get me, I'd be as confused and in denial as he is too.

I wish the manga never touched on ruka's side of the situation, then this would actually be interesting
Now that we know ruka is the manager, it's hard for us to understand why he is confused

Will the real manager please stand up... oh wait they're both standing :0

Whoops, I was wrong from the previous two chapter.
Tbh, MC is under pressure, losing blood and consciousness would make ANYONE make terrible decision. Especially if he's a singleminded person. From the start he wanted to save his friend.

I’m really not liking those managers. Kid got a near mortal stab wound, and finds out that one of his companions is a traitor. You choke him and threaten to shoot him in the head then force him to choose which one of his friends to abandon...

what

@cooltapwater oh really not like the manga straight up told us its a fake confession and that ruka is the manager you dumb fuck

@Aichan i doubt he thinks of ruka as a friend after all the wierd shit he has done and yukiko is just using him too

I still think thr mangaka ruinied this "suspensfull" Situiation with showing the Flashback of Ruka beeing a manager first..... You dont begin a mystery with the answer.

@LokiAsengott Because the author doesn't want to put a mystery on who's the manager, but on what will happen if a fake manager is being put on the platter. This is a good direction IMO, MC being oblivious and Ruka pulling the innocent identity. It will keep things interesting on how the managing agents find out which one is really the manager.

You know, this chapter would have a lot more tension if we didn't had that unnecessary flashback last chapter. Because we already know the answer, all tension that was supposed to exist here just falls flat (unless last chapter was a red herring or something, then I might be impressed).

The MC is just stupid, it was extremely clear who the manager was. He was way smarter at first.
