The City of Imprisoned Love - Vol. 4 Ch. 33 - “Behind the Eye”

@icantnotthink fucking solved the puzzle. AI can't understand love, that's it.

AI CAN UNDERSTAND EMOTION BUT CAN NEVER UNDERSTAND LOVE. WOAW.

Kinda cliche but the story mindfuckery is good so I'll read on.

So if AI can understand every emotion except love, then Makoto confessing to Ai and her blowing up is just a “system does not compute” moment for the AI.

In other words, we’ve been seeing a literal blue-(red, I guess in this case)-screen-of-death.

I think at this point the author is just rolling dice or throwing darts to decide the course of the story...

HOLY SHIT, YUKIKO IS BASED ON SOMEONE FROM THE OUTSIDE

SHE'S NOT REAL EITHER

FFFFFUUUUUCCCCKKKKK

They are both doing their own research. Old man's research subject or his avatar of a kind perhaps is the MC. Yukiko is the real world Yukiko's. And they are both after "Ai" aka love. ;)

OK If we use chapter 21 p3 as reference, we have have:
1. Homicide detective
2. Patisser
3. Demon of love???

They are the 3 specialist so we can safely say both 1 and 2 keys has been acquired, so that's leaves number 3.

You're all assuming that the "real world" *isn't just another layer of simulation!*

So
Old Man is the Architect of the Matrix, watching over the younger fake(?) Makoto -the Neo who will free humanity from the Matrix.
Why did he wait until now to communicate with Makoto? If he sent him in there on purpose he should've prepared him.
Ai is Xehanort at this point.

So...the human society collapse because the AI take over the world?
To spare humanity, the humans ended up got Matrix into some simulation world and repeat that 100 days cycle?

Seriously, it's getting more and more confusing...😅

"I only published it to secure funding." I know the feeling very well since I'm from academia. The school that I'm working with requires that faculty should publish papers to remain employed and for promotion as well.

lol @ Ai exploding because she/it can't comprehend love. It's like the computer having a segmentation fault.

don't see a reason to stop anything if everyone is happy in their own world. Its literally end game for humans. Everything automated and everyone always happy.
