The City of Imprisoned Love - Vol. 4 Ch. 37 - “A Solitary Power, Part 3”

@Kuuhakuu the plan was a lie anyway and every step was faked using her ability, there is really no escape for them since we already know there isn't a world outside anymore. They could very well not even be humans, just video game characters dreaming of leaving their virtual prison, unlike Makoto who seems to be a human and Yukiko who already exists in the real world. And their higher ups might be even more powerful than them, and control the specialists to the point that they don't have the free will to fully rebel. That was possibly the only real way they could have escaped together from the city.

So this whole arc was a Shaggy Dog arc?

Since this is mystery series and deals with fake memories and fake worlds it's hard to initially follow what's going on

Plot starts with characters finding out there in weird world trying figure out its mysteries. We learn with latest chapters this is a simulated world where scientist found out how to pretty much make there brain go digital.

To meet with the creator of this world they have to go find keys to learn the truth.

We learn there certain people given special privileges and abilities in this world called managers. Some trying to figure out secrets of this world and try to escape it while those trying to maintain it.

The Elizabeth chick job was to squash resistence which she postpones because shes in love with the guy. She wants to stay in this world and create dream life for each other. After learning all evil things shes done and pretty much dream life with him shattered she appears to kill him. She also doesn't want to go to the real world because her physical body is likely gone as we see in memory shes in a car crash.

Ai the love interest of the protagonists is likely artificial intelligence as her name suggests and why we see an older version of herself and seems to be intrinsic part of this fake world.

Pretty much fist of what's going on

@ddragon it's possible there bodies still exist just maintained in pods

Not necessary case for everyone because it appears Elisabeths real body died in real world but whose to say whsts real and fake

More interested what this creator of this world wants with makoto

MC is retarded for just blurting out that she is a specialist like that and blow their cover so easily for no reason. Also, this chapter was kind of dumb and rushed feeling.

RIP big boobs lady

if hana and haruhito have more developed in character, maybe thats okay to end them like that, but imo they didnt have much developed.

MC just slain another boobs in this manga haha, This manga is on boobs crisis right now

DEM over DEM. This just goes to show you that none of these characters, aside from mc were particularly key to the story. lol

I like how he blinded himself once he learned how to "see" the truth, just like Oedipus and Tiresias did.

I also like how it's a murder suicide. She's too powerful to go out on anything but her own terms, but the man she loves has strict principles and so won't simply let himself go along with a world he fundamentally opposes. They do genuinely care for each other but they can't go on in this charade and so decide to find their own way out.

It's a powerful moment, honestly.
